digo (hereinafter the “Service”) values your personal information and complies with the Personal Information Protection Act and related laws. This Privacy Policy describes the items of personal information collected by the Service, the purposes of collection, retention period, and your rights as a user.

The Service supports membership registration and login through the social logins below, collecting only the minimum information provided by each platform.

2. Purposes of Collection and Use of Personal Information

Collected personal information is used for the following purposes.

  • Member management: Registration, identity verification, account management, prevention of fraudulent use
  • Service provision: Place recommendations, community features (Lounge, Stories), itinerary management, visit verification
  • Content services: Posting and sharing photos, videos, and text written by users
  • Location-based services: Location-based place recommendations and route guidance
  • Service improvement: Usage analytics, quality improvement, refinement of personalized recommendation algorithms
  • App stability: Improving service stability via crash log and performance data analysis
  • Customer support: Inquiry responses and notice delivery

3. Collection and Use of Location Information

The Service collects and uses your location information as follows.

  • Method: GPS, Wi-Fi, and cell-tower based positioning
  • Type: Precise location (resolution of 3+ decimal places) and approximate location (resolution below 3 decimal places)
  • Purpose: Nearby place recommendations, visit verification, map-based exploration
  • Collection time: Only when you grant location permission
  • Right to refuse: You can refuse location collection at any time in your device settings; some location-based features may be limited if disabled.

4. Retention and Use Period of Personal Information

Your personal information is destroyed without delay once the purpose of collection and use has been achieved. However, when retention is required by applicable laws, it is kept for the period mandated by those laws.

When you withdraw membership, personal information is destroyed immediately. Items required to be retained by law are stored separately and destroyed at the end of the retention period.

As a rule, the Service does not provide personal information to third parties. The following are exceptions.

  • When requested by a court or investigative authority for investigation purposes pursuant to applicable laws

  • Procedure: Personal information whose purpose of use has been achieved is moved to a separate database and destroyed after the retention period required by applicable laws.
  • Method: Information in electronic file form is deleted using technical methods that prevent records from being reproduced.

  • Request to halt processing of your personal information
  • Request to withdraw membership

These rights can be exercised through the in-app settings menu or via email (support@digo.at) and are processed promptly upon receipt.

10. Personal Information of Children Under 14

The Service restricts membership for children under 14 and does not collect personal information from children under 14. If we determine that personal information from a child under 14 has been collected, we destroy it without delay.

11. Measures to Ensure Security of Personal Information

The Service takes the following measures to ensure the security of personal information.

  • Encryption of personal information (SSL/TLS in transit, encryption at rest)
  • Access control and minimization of access permissions
  • Retention of access logs and prevention of tampering
  • Installation of security software and periodic checks

The officer oversees personal information processing and handles user inquiries, complaints, and remedies.

14. Changes to the Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies from its effective date. Its content may be added, deleted, or modified in line with changes to laws and service policies. Changes will be announced via in-app notice 7 days prior to the effective date.
